The review was not unfriendly but fairly short and unhelpful. It contained a number of misunderstandings of the text and of the literature in general. For example, it attributed views to various authors that do not have support in their texts. Moreover, my submission was handled by an associate editor who has little knowledge of the field.

Oh my god, you cannot imagine how rude the editor was. I inquired about the status of the paper; while the editor was so bothered such that he recommended me to withdraw the paper.
